If you would like to remove map numbers from a Caseware file, open the Working Trial Balance, hold down your left mouse button on the Map No column heading to highlight the Map No column and hit delete. You will need to remove the map assignments from the trial balance before you copy in the new structure to properly delete any non-Jazzit map number from the client file.
The first time you bring Jazzit into an existing Caseware file you may find it easier to start with the prior year file. Bring Jazzit into the prior year file before you roll it forward and begin work on the current year engagement. Because you have completed last year’s file already you have two years of completed information in your files. This can be helpful in assigning map numbers – especially when you need to know which GL accounts should be grouped together.
