Refrain from changing the type property on the Working trial balance. Changing this property may affect the rounding of the Jazzit financial statements. Use the Synchronize Account Properties function to ensure that all accounts in the Trial balance have the correct type in relation to their assigned map numbers.
Calculation of Net Income in Caseware
Caseware calculates Net Income by combining all accounts in the Working Trial Balance with the Net Income type. The Net Income per Caseware is compared to Net Income per Jazzit for the purposes of rounding. An incorrect type on an account will affect the rounding.
All map numbers starting with the number 3-5 is a Income Statement map number. Ensure their type is set to Income Statement.
