JZ088 How do I add more securities into the marketable securities working paper?

There is a limited number of marketable securities that can be entered into the Marketable securities (MS) working paper. If you run into the limit there are additional Marketable securities that can be added into the client file from the Jazzit Master File (Genmst or Frmmst) using File > Copy Components.

The additional working papers can be found in the Jazzit Master file under the folder titled Additional Balance Sheet Templates.

Linking working papers together

Once you added in the necessary working papers, use the options found under the heading Multiple marketable security working papers and diagnostics to link working papers together as required.

Need more than 10 working papers?
There are 10 Marketable Securities working papers available in the Jazzit Master File. All 10 working papers are identical internally. Therefore it is possible to have more than 10 working papers in a file if necessary.

Make a copy of the working paper
Create a copy of the working paper - Right-click on any of the working papers and click copy. Right-click again and click paste. A copy of the MS working paper module will be created and be assigned a new identifier.

In this example the identifier assigned is MX.

Link your new working paper by entering it's identifier
When attempting to link new working paper you may notice that MX identifier is not present in the list of working papers available for linking. In this case you can manually enter the document identifier into one of the blank entries.

Updating the extra working paper
If you need to update the extra working paper. Open the Resource Centre (klib or frmlib) and make a copy of the working paper module. Ensure that the module identifier matches the identifier on the client file. This is similar to creating a custom file off an existing template. Note: After updating the Jazzit Fundamentals, you will need to replace the delete the module copy and replace with a new copy.
