Adding/creating additional Marketable securities working papers to a file
A limitation with the MS working paper is it can accommodate only 50 securities. If you have more than 50 securities you will need to add an additional working paper and link it to your main working paper.
Copy another working paper from your genmst via Copy Components. The identifiers range from MS-MW and JZMS-JZMW
Open your original working paper and click on the small folder next to 'Marketable securities options' to open the options area. Set the options under the Multiple working paper section as appropriate to your situation.
Open the added working paper and ensure their options are also set appropriately. The options are the same across all MS working papers.
Adding more than 10 WPs to a single WP.
There are 10 prepared working papers in the GENMST. You may have noticed in the options above there is space for an additional 10 working papers. You can link up to 20 working papers to a single 'main' working paper.
Right-click on a marketable securities working paper in the Caseware document manager and pick copy. You can pick any MS working paper to copy, they are all the same internally.
Right-click again and select Paste. This will create a copy of the working paper with a different ID.
Right click on the copy and select properties. Set the name, number, and Identifier as required.
If you need to add the totals of this new working paper to other working papers. Open the target working paper and enter the new working paper's Identifier to the Doc ID field. Check the checkbox to the left to include it into the working paper.
