Fit the Balance Sheet on One Page

If the Balance Sheet does not fit properly on one page, there are four things you can do:

  • Try to combine as many accounts as possible into one map number; an example would be to group all types of accounts payable together. Be aware that this also affects the GIFI disclosure. If you would like detailed GIFI disclosure, then you would not want to combine different types of accounts payable together.
  • Print the Balance Sheet on two pages instead of one. This option is found in the Statement Settings area.
  • In long-term sections of the Balance Sheet, use the express menu > section format option to set the spacing to Narrow Spacing or No Spacing.

  • Right-click on main section headings (assets, liabilities and equity) and set the spacing above heading option to No spacing above.

  • You can also try and set the signature area to show side by side and revise the signature spacing.
