Updating with the archive snackbar. (REQUIRED if you are using the previous version of CaseWare)
If your firm is using the previous version (or older) of CaseWare, do not use the "Download from Snackbar to update directory" button in the RC Update Control (JZUPDATE) to obtain your Snackbar. Use the Archive Snackbar.
The previous version of CaseWare refers to the version of CaseWare that immediately precedes the latest supported version. At the time of writing the latest supported version of CaseWare is 2019, therefore the “previous version” is CaseWare 2015. This will change as newer versions of CaseWare are released. Snackbar updates are not available for versions of CaseWare preceding the “previous version” (e.g. 2016 and lower). The Archive Snackbar is compatible with the previous version of CaseWare and can be downloaded directly from the Jazzit support website.
The Archive Snackbar is only created when Jazzit transitions to a newer version of CaseWare and is not updated regularly. Consequently the Archive Snackbar usually does not contain the latest version of Jazzit. Update CaseWare to the latest supported version to access the latest version of Jazzit.
Determine your firm font (Arial or Times New Roman?) and which Resource Centre you updating (KLIB or FRMLIB?). Click the corresponding Snackbar button.
At the next page, scroll down to the Template revisions area.
Download the Archive Snackbar for the previous version of CaseWare. Please note the previous version of Jazzit at the time of writing is CaseWare 2018, this will change as newer versions of CaseWare are released.
The file downloaded replaces the file that downloads when Download from Snackbar to Update directory is clicked.
