Step 2 - Download from website to update directory
  • Download the .exe update package. Click the step 2 button, your default browser will open and prompt you to login into my.caseware.com. Login with the credentials provided

Click on the button entitled Software Download. You will be presented with all your Caseware subscriptions. Scroll down to the section entitled MyCaseware - Templates. Choose the item Jazzit Fundamentals Total Support Bundle - First User. You will be taken to the product's individual page, click on Download Templates.

The Download Templates pane will open. Click on download link for the desired Resource Centre type and font. In this case we are downloading the updating file for the KLIB Resource Centre in the Arial Font. A file called JazzitDefaultKLIBUpdate_ARIAL.exe will be downloaded.

Running JazzitDefaultKLIBUpdate_ARIAL.exe will start an installation wizard. You may also get security prompts, click to approve them.

  • Follow the installation wizard. Note the following:

Select the folder that you want to install the update package to. A folder called KLIBupdate will be created in the selected folder during installation. Manually creating a ‘KLIBupdate’ folder is not necessary. The klibupdate folder contains everything necessary to update KLIB.

  • Example: The KLIBupdate folder was automatically created when “C:\Program Files (x86)\Caseware\data” was selected as the install location.

b. Deleting the klibupdate folder is not necessary for subsequent updates. Installing in the same folder will overwrite the previous klibupdate. The klibupdate folder can be deleted once the update process is complete.

Security measures may prevent you selecting remote/server drives from the installer. If that’s the case, install the Update Directory on the local drive (C:) and move it using File Explorer afterwards.

Make sure to only select the main directory where the existing klibupdate is saved, i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Caseware\Data. Do not create a klibupdate folder. Otherwise a 2nd klibupdate folder will be created inside the created klibupdate folder.
