Renaming a client file is more complicated than simply renaming the central .ac file. When Working Papers looks for supporting files such as the databases which contain the actual information in the file, it looks for the name of the .ac file, with a two letter identifier and an appropriate extension. If the central .ac file is renamed without all other files being renamed at the same time, Working Papers will not be able to find the supporting files and will generate an error.
To rename the Caseware client file, open a new instance of Caseware and go to File > Rename File.
Select the file you want to rename and enter the new file name.
