How to insert electronic signatures into Jazzit Checklists
 
The checklists support the functionality to sign-off certain compilation, review and audit checklists using electronic signatures.
 
In order to use this functionality, you will also need to have purchased a Jazzit Fundamentals package and electronic signature add-on.
 
The following checklists support the electronic signature functionality:
    
  • C305: Compilation engagement: Independence checklist
  • C310: Compilation engagement planning and completion checklist
  • R5-10: Completion checklist
  • CAA310: Checklist – Audit completion
 
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to implement this in a client file (review document R5-10 will be used as an example)
 
  • The R5-10 Checklist MUST be in a client file where the Jazzit Financial Statements are present
     
     
  • Copy Components the LICENSE module (klib!!) from your Fundamentals Resource Centre, into your PEG Review Resource Centre (PEG Review KLIB). You must use CaseWare’s copy components to add the license module to the checklist Resource Centre properly. Do not copy and paste this module into your document manager.
     
     
  • Open the R5-10: Completion checklist in your existing client file and update the template by clicking on the Update from Resource Centre button at the top left of the screen
     
     
  • At the bottom of the checklist, you should now have an option to switch between manual and electronic signatures
 
 
In order to activate the signature please follow the steps below:
 
  • Select a partner from the dropdown
  • Click the Signature on button
  • Enter the password
  • The partner’s signature should appear
  • Today’s date will be automatically populated
