Copying Maps from the Detailed Map Structure
If you need a map number that is not available in your Caseware file or would like to add in a frequently used map number in your master templates, copy and paste the map number from the detailed map structure in your MAPS file. The MAPS file is included with your Jazzit order download.
To copy from one map structure to another:
-
Open the
MAPS Caseware file.
-
Launch a second Caseware file by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop. You should have two Caseware applications running at the same time.
-
In each file open the map structure by going to
Engagement > Mapping.
-
In the detailed map structure (MAPS) find the map number you wish to copy. Highlight the entire row of information for this map number. You can do this by clicking on the far left of the line until the line is highlighted. You can drag the cursor up or down if you are selecting a group or multiple map numbers.
-
Once the row is highlighted, in the Caseware ribbon select
Home > Copy.
-
Move to the map structure in the target file and click on the row below where you would like the map number to be.
-
In the Caseware ribbon select
Home > Paste.
If the map number needs to be further sorted up or down on the list, highlight the map number row and hold down the CTRL key and use the Up/Down arrows on your keyboard to move it.
